weird problem u guys in ts5.1 sp2:
I have a castle wall essentially. I was point editing and Sweeping the top battlement positions, and other work. When done I went to render it (usual options) and its not there no more. I mean its there, but the render shows it not there. Any suggestions? Did point edit/sweep screw up my object? I'm stumped, especially since I havent changed any settings, etc. Geometry looks ok to me.
I should add that raycast produces the above results. I set render to scan line and the object shows during render but it (object) looks all messed up.

Re: help, object completely vanishing upon rendering
Sounds like some bad geometry.
Could try boolean subtracting a non-intersecting cube.
Right click boolean subtract first and check 'delete edges'.
This might clean up the stray vertices.
( In plain English: Position a plain cube away from any other object, select the problem wall object, click boolean subtract, and then click the cube)
Try it on a copy of your wall object in case of disaster.
If that doesn't work you'll have to closely inspect things- try switching to a solid outline display.
You should see the problem areas because they won't display properly as solids.
You might be able to add some edges or see what verts/ faces are out of whack.
Point editing will disrupt existing UV mapping, you might also need to reapply UV maps.
Happy hunting!

Re: help, object completely vanishing upon rendering
It seem you have a bad thing in your scene. try to save your castle as an object. save all light and cam as object too. turn bridge off and close TS (setting: don't load scene at start). Open TS with a new scene. load all your objects and save this new scene.
