I had the chance to live an era rich in human adventures and follow the beginnings of Apple and Microsoft (i built my first computer in a garage too). Today progress is dictated by large companies. Is also effective but less human. Create a multinational from scratch is almost impossible, unless the idea is completely revolutionary.
All major sectors of the economy are born in small garages occupied by crazy fans. Cars, airplanes. Then computer. Today Internet (Google, Facebook). Everything that is successful loses his soul after being bought. Apple is different because it is run by the same man and has kept his philosophy (which we like or not, he kept his beliefs).
Therefore it is important to watch carefully what the lunatics do in their garages. Humanity has always functioned as (Leonardo da vinci, einstein,...). Then, trade is for the vultures. Now everything is too fast and too slowly: too fast because it changes too often and too slow because it is not really revolutionary. It is just buziness.

You must have seen a total of one speech.

It was ok though. Maybe a little above average.

It was a good example of public speaking but totally inappropriate for the location. After all these guys have had thousands spent on ensuring they graduate and here is very successful guy showing how he managed it without graduating. Can't see the relevance to the audience there....

Loved the speech though.
