How do you evalidate my behavior at the forums?

Post by LeonRegis »

Lately I commit a lot of errors and embarrassing errors. I don't know much English so make a lot of grammar mistakes (in this page you can encounter some and I think even in this phrase). Don't introduce good subjects and more than 50% of my posts are crap... I ask for help more than give I know that this is the goal here but I feel bad. Most of my ideas are wrong or are useless, I just want to say many thanks to who isn't like me, like... well I will not say names because I know that some of cool person will get out of the list and I don't want to make more problems!

Please feedback for a better behavior come from my side...

Hey Leon; no it's not you. There are a lot of forum members here; quite a few do not post or reply too often.
Other forums are like that as well; there are lots of members, but not every member is highly active.

Your English is really pretty good; it just takes practice, like with any language. I'll put it this way:
your English is Superior to my Brazilian! :D Well, I am not sure which language you're most familiar with:
Spanish? French? My wife speaks French and German quite well; I don't really speak either of those languages.
We go to French and German get togethers and she does the talking; I do the 'head nodding': uh huh.. yep... hahaha...
uh huh... yep... hahaha... in other words, I don't know What the hell is going on so I just try to listen. :D

So I'd say, keep posting! :D

Thanks froo for the positive words, I talk as my native language Portuguese and it's not very used at world, just in some poor countries and obviously Portugal, I really want to learn well English but right now I can express pretty good my self. My abilities in learning other language is not the principal focus here, but my posts itself...

PS: French is beautiful, German is cool I like both languages but think it's hard to learn, German of course for me is almost impossible, the only way to learn that is moving to Germany :D

Thanks 3d frog, maybe I'm just seeing things wrong, like that some topics that I created get no aswer and I think that people ignore me or think that I'm talking about non-sense stuff.

Hang in there leonregis, I always enjoy your post.
I think everyone reads your post but are too busy to
post themselves or they don't want to look like a beginner.

My concern is getting more people posting their artwork here
or getting a WIP started. I am not concerned with how many members
join but how many participate. I even suggested to Augusto to have
a system of deleting users that do nothing here. He didn't like that idea.
He is right that this forum is eveyone's, not his and not mine.

My idea is to delete a user that joins but never comes back. The REAL
number of forum members is much lower than what you see. The ones
that participate have my deepest respect and your one of them leonregis!

Steinie you're absolute right! I just don't open a WIP because I always do fast projects of simple objects, this is more to gain experience because as almost everybody knew I'm a newbie :D I'm proud of be it because everybody including the bests artist one day was a newbie and always is a surprise discover my abilities like when I done MEMO pendrive and the last pen for the SMC i got surprise with the results 8-)

I think we need to clean those members, number is only a good think if it shows the truth and our active members doesn't more than 50 members... When I participate of other forum I say that almost 40% of all members doesn't have at least one post and I think the best thing to do it's to exclude that, I just don't mentioned it here because the percent aren't so big and in the other forum the idea don't was received with much ''enthusiasm'' so I don't want to commit the same error here, but I share the same point of view...

Thanks to everyone who supported me

Leon, I think everyone here enjoys the energy you bring to the forum and I do not believe anyone here has any problem with your language skills. If any of us are not clear on your meaning we will say so to make sure we are understanding what you are saying.

I don't think you have any reason to be embarassed by what you are posting at all.

Thanks v3rd3!

I need always to remember that here is a 3D forum and most of users are adults to not post teen things or other subjects that don't brings anything good to the forums (Like discuss about global warming).

I don't know if I can and I think it's don't bring any benefit but I would like to be a moderator someday, not to put respect or something else, but to help if something needs to be moved, etc... I don't know what much moderators do and I never been a moderator and think here I'm don't bring something good as a moderator, my only good side is the high active... So let's leave like this.

Thanks

I am impressed by your participation in this community. Over 700 messages!!! I belive the Brazilian twenty-four hours have a lot more hours.
It's fun to read the messages in tscommunity because it's an active forum and, what I have found, always is something new to read about. So keep on enter messages.

I am also the one who cant do a TS project to the end. It's the lack of time. Maybee we should start a forum about projects which halfway has come to a stop. (The last sentence seems grammaticly wrong to me....)
But about language I consider it better to speek and try to be understood even if you use wrong words or you are not grammaticly correct.

Thanks Tommy,

I don't have many problems in finish a project because lack the time, since I'm a school student (which gives a lot of free time compared for a full time job), the only problem is when test weeks start. Anyway the problem some times is when I get a bit stressed and don't have creativity to finish, but lately I'm seeing the lack of time, since the year is ending and teachers don't have mercy...

Just to you know, here is what my post do (it's just a estimate).
30% Thanks/Good Work/Nicely Done/Good to Know
5% Help other people, with I can
30% Chat/Conversation/Share ideas
15% WIPs and my artworks
20% Please help me with...

I think I post too much...

Thanks again
