Texture painting in Blender. Once I got the hang of how it handles texture files, saving them, and working with them, all is well, fun little app. =)

Slowly but surely getting on some ideas on.

I have finally finished painting these guys. Was fun, took me forever, but now done. Onwards to shading and rigs.

I may use Redshift now.

Working on the rigs! Made one base one, then copied it to the other ones. I will default the poses of the other ones and reconnect the shaders and envelope weights according to each one. I am not sure if there will be lipsync in this animation, but I doubt it. I do have like 3 controllers ready for umpteen dozens of morphs/shapes. I am also including a new technique of having nulls influence the envelope. I like rigging in SI, be it without full body IK skelatons, it is still powerful. I can't wait to learn more ICE to work things through. I will try program the morphs to the controllers using ICE. Maybe I'll do that.

My sound engineer is making up a cool little jingle for this, but for the competition I will do a seperate image, I have just the scene in mind.

Here are the boxes in Redshift! The scenery is prebuilt, did it a while ago with my dancing singing fruit, so I can't use those.

But it's for another secret (not so secret) project...

I like redshift, with brute-force light, it just spits everything out. I am still not sure what are the benifits of Irradience caching, I will have to study up on that.

Okay, the pumpkins are creeping me out - I scare easily. :(

I'm curious about the boxes and the microphone - I'm waiting for next ...(help! The pumpkins are chasing me!)

Clinton!

Redshift is a closed Alpha staged Biased GPU render engine that runs on CUDA at the moment, but they have a roadmap to also include OpenCL. I got lucky and am part of the alpha testers.

It so far has integration for Softimage and Maya. It is bloody fast, as it has more efficient calculations over unbiased GPU engines (Cycles, Octane, etc). It has brute force GI and photon based GI also, very quick. I like it so far, found some bugs for it, but the team are very quick to update it and very friendly. It will be a competitor for the elitist engine Arnold I'm sure, once they perfect it.

Here is a website for it, but.. um.. it's ultra secret too.

Not till we sell it, then it will probably attempt to go viral, but till then!
