A simple "Guide" on box modeling a dinosaur ,by placing a cube in front of the reference image and sweeping as in the image blow it is easy to create the dinosaur or any other creature you can think of for that matter.

The final result.
The dino is not texture mapped I just crudely applied a texture obtained from
