Re: Temple
Awesome! Great color scheme, as usual. Mist! I like how the building and land fit together.
Bryce, right? How did you keep the tree instances off of the rocks?
How long did it take to render?

Re: Temple
Marcel seems to fell in love with Bryce :) how do you use tS along with Bryce? import tS objects via obj or such into Bryce and there you render it or render sepparetly and combine it in post process (photoshop or such)?

Re: Temple
@ Finis: trees are not on the same grounds. I created a second identical ground without peaks (areas that have no trees). I place this ground slightly below the first to see only trees. This technique also allows for many other things I've used in other illustrations. For example, create different textures on small bumps that follow the main terrain.
The terrain have 25 millions of polygons. Useful for a hd picture. The render depend of the size and the setting. It is a small picture from a hd rendering. Then i don't know the time i need for a picture like this. Maybe about ten minutes on a I7 3.4 ghz.
@ Bitkar: i use trueSpace cob or obj. Most of the time the rendering is global (as the picture) but I can render sepparetly and combine it in post process. For this, I created a test object and I use the rendered image of the object so that the light is the same for all rendering of each software.
trueSpace is still my most used software. Because I use it for my professional work (design).
With Bryce and Sculptris, I have a suite that suits me perfectly for my pleasure. their functions are complementary.
To work with Bryce and trueSpace, I group each cob objects by the same texture and I use the tool "object union" before importing on Bryce. This reduces the number of useful objects (Bryce is not a modeler) and makes the work of the rendering much easier and faster.
