@ jamesmc - very nice James. Thanks for also sharing the youtube link as I can't see any imbedded videos on here anymore, only pictures. - Can you share an obj?

@ Steinie - I can't import rsobj into Blender (its the only software I have with this new computer). Please share a regular obj.

@ seppgirty - take a look at the pic below; is the color right? The top one is with no Blender smoothing. The bottom, well, that just looks wrong, right?
- On the right the bottom pic is the texture, then the material above. Does it all look ok?
Entries 1.jpg
@ Finis - when I render yours it turns black, except for the white of the string in the middle (see pic above), which means that material/color is right. The problem is probably on my end. The texture pic looks fine but somehow the materials are wrong. In the pic below I have highlighted what your colors/material shows. From their labeling, I don't think you wanted them all varied shades of white, right? Do you mind me just imitating them from the pic? That, I know I can do.
Entries 2.jpg
Alright folks, crunch time. Challenge ends tomorrow.
I must confess, I have no tree ready for the party. Someone want to share theirs? Gotta be something I can use in Blender.

Good luck everyone!

(looks much better as an animation)
Won't enter this in the challenge but wanted to share in the fun.
NYC - the city of towering steel...
where there is more gold than Fort Knox (or there used to be anyway)...
and round and round we go... chasing for it.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to one and all!

Really cool tree. Great idea for this guys. We'll add to this next year. Would be cool to see this in a shared space.
