Love it!
All it's missing is sound 'clang clang clang went the trolley' and the smell of horseshit.
The lackadaisical attitude towards traffic laws is refreshing.
I also liked that kids on foot and on bikes could easily outrun public transportation.

You don't often get a glimpse of everyday life back then. That was interesting. Thanks Steinie.

Very interesting footage to see!
I have looked at the same movie in Gothenbourg in a shot from a tram about the same age. And it's the same caos. I couldn't find it at internet but found this instead.

It seems similar in it's caos. Pedestrians, buses, trams and cyclist everythere. No horses with carrages though. This footage is from the absolute center of the Gothenbourg city.

Re: 1905 Road Rage?
When Clintonman posted his Voodoo Tracker plugin for TS the Voodoo site had a project that took this exact footage and tracked it. The link they gave to the footage is SD footage, a bit rough at places but interesting. They did a survey of the information they could collect from the video (license numbers and whatever else) and they determined that this video was filmed about 5 days before the 1905 fire in San Franscisco that destroyed the city. Saw this video is a small time capsule of what SF looked like before the fire.
Very cool video.
