This one is really really weird and I am wondering if anyone has seen this happen before.
I was working on a big scene in workSpace for awhile, using eye view (not viewing through a camera)
when everything in the scene started to drop slowly, all in slow motion. I tried everything, clicked every
icon, checked all icons to see if a setting had been selected by mistake. Switched to Model side and everything
stopped dropping, switched back and dropping continued. I generated new space, dropping again, loaded another scene
same problem, Ctrl booted trueSpace but still the drop, removed default.ctx and restarted trueSpace, still dropping.
Finally I shut down the computer and restarted and the dropping stopped. So it sounds like a memory issue.
Anyone else ever see this weird event happen?

never seen it before , one thing to check if you see it again is to look in the processes tab and see if there are multiple instances of tS running.

another thing to check might be the undo history , but its unlikely this is the cause in this instance as this should be cleared between sessions.
so it might be a memory leak or something caused multiple instances to be spawned , in either case it sounds like a bug.

sounds like physics was enabled somehow, and the scene itself was assigned physics attributes.
I don't know if that is possible, but that is what it sounds like.
(Though I have to admit, that is probably one of the most useless things I've ever said... )

Actually .... instead of the scene content dropping it could be the camera climbing. Possibly physics on the default camera.... possibly a mouse hardware thing....

Were you dropping tabs or blotters Steinie?

hee I thought the dropping was refering to frame rate.... not actual movement

Nope the whole scene was dropping or another way to put it, the camera/eye floated upwards.
I have seen this happen two different times this week. I didn't notice any change with the gravity settings.

Hmm.. they did just restart the Large Hadron Collider again...are you thinking OOPSY ACCIDENTAL BLACK HOLE!1!

did your arms also end up at shoulder level and do you have one of those chairs with the adjustable hieght column , maybe the columns failing ....

Are you using a Microsoft product?

This actually happened to me in real life once but it involved excess amounts of peppermint schnapps.
Ruined my taste for it, let me tell you.

PS. Are you beginning to think you're on your own with this issue?

Well right now I took everyone's advise.
So now I'm trying to sit on an old chair, reading instructions how to
load Windows 95, drinking Schnapps while Nortons post a warning message
on my screen, " caution do you trust this site about to show you a big black hole?"...

I'd rather be floating!
