This pic is rely just a bunch of stuff I modeled to
construct the scene... So many poly's
Long way to go on this... When I finish putting
together the scene... Then I will have to model
The Abducted person and the Aliens...
Piecing things together...
Render times very long 45 mins for this one.
And compared to what the final scene will be... theres nothing in the scene...
I'm gonna have to keep rethinking this as I go along..
I added some volumetric lights and fixtures.
Starting to build the mood I'm looking for.
I dropped in some TrueSpace stock chareters
as place holders mainly.. But it does make the scene
a bit more interesting...
Thanks for your evaluation, tips and sugestions...
They rely Help..
The modeling is nice but I think these objects are too ordinary. Especially the table which looks like a regular utility table with wheels and everything. The objects need an alien mysterious look. The look of a different or more advanced technology. Your first picture had more of that look.
Another update...
Figureing out the layout...
Now I don't like the new table..
The lighting is very difficult...
Well I'll just keep making changes
untill it works out..
I like this latest rendering. The alien's right hand has a shadow which
distracts the view. I don't think the blue light beam is necessary.
You have really improved this rendering with each post.
It seems as the alien are naked. Why? Dosn't he need some clothes for surgion actions?

Well, I think that explains the source of all those "Probe" stories.

Thanks everybody for your comments..
Another little update...
Added a few more pieces...
I changed the textures on the table to metal
rather than transparent at least for now...
Render times were about one and a half hours..
I will probably change it back once the modeling is done
and I am ready to do the final render..
Now I like it like this with all mysterious alien tech. but you wrote earlier that you want human and alien tech.
Suggest:
- Render times might be less, while working on it, it you turn off the volumetrics.
- Keep the light beam emitting disks in the picture and be sure we can see that they float.
- Make sure we can see the claws on the dissection arms. Place at least one so there is contrast with the back ground. Maybe change their color to make more visible.
Idea:
The table could float over a deep hole (with machinery) and the alien could stand on a floating disk for access to the table. This would provide more alien strange tech. and add more menace to the situation for the baby. (The reflections in the floor inspired this idea.)

Thanks for the nice comments and sugestions
and encouragement everybody...
Just another little update...
Render time 5 hours...
I'm not sure what happened with the glass platforms..
Why they rendered allmost black that is...
I'll try to fix it next time...
This Project is getting totaly out of controll..
I believe I will do one more render...
Then I will move on to something with
no volumetric lights or glass...
This thing was/is much bigger than I thought...
Looks good. Picky things: be sure the claws look like they can reach the baby. Move the "death star ball" on the left down a little so it is clearly in front of the window frame and inside the room.
Idea: Show a few of the tube things, larger like here vi ... 653#p16653" , with babies inside. The alien could be putting the baby into one.

Send in the Clones...
Another rupdate...
Oh ya... This is not an Abduution scene.. I wish it was...
What ever that is... It's probably easier than this..
But I am learning things and getting good feedback...
when I see all these pictures, I imagine a movie with objects that change shape and color without stopping every second. An atmosphere in constant motion as if we look at the scene through a kaléidoscope or through the eyes of an alien.
I'm just trying to get it right..
Adding peoples suggestions...
Reworking and reworking and reworking...
Untill at last I achieve an immage that is pleasing to
the eye... And gets accross fully the intention of
the project...
