Character Design

Post by jeffroig »

Ok if you have following the post "Landscape" or even viewed it you will understand what I am looking for.
I need ideas for two more characters.
Both characters are to be animals that mimic human movement, take a look at my post called "Landscape".
I need a idea for a character that would be good as a native American Indian and I also need one for a character that is Mexican and will have one of those large mustaches.
Any ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated.
These two characters will be the ones used in the Saloon that will be playing poker at the table and drinking.
Can not be a Fox as this will be a female character that I am working on.

Mexican = i got a mouse in my head (speedy gonzales - arriba) :)
American Indian = could be a eagle, bear, beaver or a raccoon for me.

Hope this helps a bit and thumbs up, you do a great job and i love it to watch your progress.

Mexican - roadrunner, coyote, burro, chihuahua.
Indian - Yeah: racoon.

Maybe a deer or elk or some critter with antlers could be a character.

I am trying to keep it away from looking like Rango.
When I first started in on this project I had not even thought of the movie Rango.
While I will agree that there is some similarity to Rango the story and idea I have did not come from it.
I like the idea of a Raccoon but I am not completely satisfied with the idea so I am still leaving my options open.
There are several problems with doing a snake. They require alot of bones to get the correct movements and they have no hands so how could he play cards and I have no way of doing motion capture for a snake.

I have also considered using a iguana as a indian as I could use his spikes as feathers.
