Re: ivy castle
The buildings seem a bit repetitive in design and there is also a certain lack of ivy though I think what you're going for there.
All and all, I'd say it's a great render though. Very nice work!

Textures are looking great! Really adds to it all. But yes, a lack of natural decay and variety does take away from the image, but it's very nice. =)

Yes. Modeled and rendered with modelside and hdri. The blue shadow is made with a negative light (with negative color). A feature useful to enhance some effects and control the result. Photorealism is not my goal. I think more drawing than photo.

Re: ivy castle
Nice render Marcel..
My recommendation is now, it looks too perfect.. i recommend you to add more defects.. some trees, small bushes, defects on the stone walls.. Smoke on some chimneys..
Another new project like BOT?

Re: ivy castle
Hi Prodigy. Nice to see you.
The problem with old castles, is that we see them as ruins. But how they look when they were new?
Some vegetation would be useful. especially at the base of the walls. And a little darkness mildew on the towers could increase the effect "fantastic". (Photoshop?)
I'm too demanding with me to make a movie alone. I do not have time to do that now. I like Hight resolution illustrations. it's nice and I can change the subject quickly. Test various software and style. For a film, one must plan ahead and do the same thing for months.
But you give me an idea:
Keep this file as is and do another that represents the passage of time, with exactly the same position. All demolished, wild vegetation, ...
A bit like after a hurricane.

Great work!
I was considering doing that with my Greek column building. Not an animation but a slideshow.marcel wrote:Keep this file as is and do another that represents the passage of time
