I have tried using the LUUV plugin on the model side to export some geometry to tryout 3dCoat. It seems MSVS 2005 not playing nice with LUUV plugin.
LUUV loads, fine, alt-click brings up file dialogue, fine type in file name, fine. Click ok...
LuuvBug.... get it!

I found that Luuv 1.1.4 worked ok.

Thanks Jim... I am running 1.1.5 but still have the problem. I will see if I can find a downgrade and try that.

let me know how you get on finding 1.1.4
Hang on I think Luuv 1.1.4 comes with TS7.61B8 ,unless I did'nt clear out my old TS76 folder.
