I've imported a model in TS 7.6 and deleted half and used the mirror model tool . After some adjustments, I clicked the flatten history button and ended up with a visible seam right along the middle of the model. I separated one half as a different object and used the boolean union tool, but got the same results. I've noticed that SDS removes the seam, but I don't want any more polys since the model is already smoothed over. How do I get a seamless model after using mirror model without using SDS?
Thanks for any replies.

Re: Problems joining halves of model
Might it just be an issue with normals? Does the seam go away if you click the smooth normals tool?

That should be what it is.
Either do auto-facet normals or smooth normals (I prefer Auto) and it should right itself.

Re: Problems joining halves of model
Don't know if this is related at all, but I had a similar problem when using MM. After deleting half the object I had to select center edge loop and zero out the z axis so it was perfectly straight along the center edge loop before adding the other half. This helped to eliminate seams but after that I got small tears or seams (kind of like a hole in the model) from moving things around the center edge if I moved them too far. (reference Jack's Organic Modeling viperfish course for more detail) Again, I'm still new to this, so, not sure if this is the same thing, but thanks for the post, I had not thought of using the boolean union or auto facet normal to repair it. I'll have to find out where those tools are and try them.
