Jumping Scenes in FPN mode
I have been playing around with trueBlue's scene jumping trigger (the one with the circle of red dots), and have been jumping between scenes on my hard drive. However, when I jump into a new scene from the previous one, I have to click on the FPN icon to get into FPN mode. Is there some way I can set up a scene so that when I jump into it, I am automatically in FPN mode - so the feeling of continuity (from the previous scene) is preserved.

Re: Jumping Scenes in FPN mode
hmmm... i haven't tested that scene loading trigger in a long time, but I recall when I first did long ago, I ran at the trigger in one scene and crashed into a tree in the other scene without ever leaving FPN mode at all.
I will have to test this again soon, maybe there is some new limitation with the 7.6x code that wasn't present in the 7.5x code when I used this ages ago?

Re: Jumping Scenes in FPN mode
Thanks 3dvisuals dude. I just had another go using truePlay2 instead of Rosetta standalone, and I definitely have to keep resetting FPN mode after each jump - so there must be something different to what you were originally doing. It would be great if I can fix it to be continuous.

Re: Jumping Scenes in FPN mode
There is a command to activate FPN.
For scripts, there is an option to; Run Automatically.
This means, the script is executed as soon as the scene is loaded.
Like stan's script for trueplay, which replaces the default desktop with the
'correct' one: the one which has the 'wire hightlight' set to off.
Right off the top of my head, I do not know the script command for FPN
(sorry; just gettin tired
). BUT: you should be able to put that command
into a jscript command, and set that jscript command to Run Automatically.
Then when you jump into the scene, the FPN should be activated automatically.

Re: Jumping Scenes in FPN mode
Thank you for the link, trueBlue. I have downloaded those triggers and will go into playtime to experiment. Thanks also to froo for your helpful comments - I had never noticed the 'Run Automatically' function before, so I will have to swot up on the implications! Next issue will be to set a random function into a script so that a scene will be different each time I enter it. Should be fun - I have used random functions in POV-Ray before but not yet in trueSpace. Plenty here to keep me busy for a while!
