The idea for this came from the german Truespace forum (now open to all apps forum)from Designdevil.
For his Header image he made a light rig that you can use for faking global illumination or for lightdomes.
When I saw the video i imediatly thought you could use it for making lightrigs for Vue too !
Model side and the plugins are not dead and can live on in any application that you are planning to use
for your future you just have to think outside of the box.
Instaed of making a rig of lights I made an array of spheres on the surface of the geodome then deleted the geodome
using the CK pointclone plugin. i exported that group of spheres and in Vue with the replace tool I replaced the spheres with
pointlights.
you can now change the lightrig as a group.... change the color and intensity.... softness etc.
You have global illumination inside another system you can even make a light gradient and all with the OLD modelside of
Truespace......
So it can be a good idea to just use other software with TS it works well as you can seeyou just have to combine it..

You cant have enough !
Here I used spotlights. note that Vue lets you after you have imported the array from TS and replaced it by spotlights
choose an object that it should track . so you put a sphere into the middle and go to track it and back to no track. You then
have all the spotlights adjusted to look right into the center you can the adjust the falloff etc.
If you leave the tracking on you can follow an object or more with your rigg and still have soft light.
