Hello everybody!

My first post here and am totally a beginner. I wanted help as the title says it all, how do i add a face to an extruded 'hollow' spline in 3dsmax ?

Welcome . If its anything like modo you need the patch tool.select the
outside loops and add patch. Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply but I can't seem to do that in 3dsmax. There must be some 3dsmax specific modifier for this purpose ?

Have you tried the "Bridge Poly" or "Bridge Edges" tool?

Thanks for your help. This is what I did. Edit polygon > Select Border > Cap command. Filled the gap.

I see that you found a solution.

I dont' have max, but the close command in other programs must be similar to the cap command in Max.

I guess Max can cap or close in its "Modified Stack" also called Dynamic Geometry in some programs.

I know that Hexagon won't let you close unless you collapse the dynamic geometry. What that does is "bake" in all the shapes into editable geometry. Once done though, you can't go back cause it is baked in.
