It's been ages since I was involved here so heavily, a lifetime since then actually for me since my whole life has most definitely taken several complete turnarounds since those days!

Hope everyone is doing well here and especially in your own real life situations, I do sincerely wish each of you the best.

As for me I essentially gave up all 3d modeling activity altogether a few months back, choosing instead to focus exclusively on my lifelong dream of creating music instead. Now months later here in February I'm about to publish 3 new music cd's this month and 12 this year if all stays on track like it now is. If anyone wants to hear instrumental versions of my stuff I have those online temporarily till the finished versions (with vocals) are published in a week or so. those can be heard here: http://www.wix.com/odwyer/Sum1sPlace

Also there are the customary facebook / myspace / twitter / email links at that site for anyone wanting to stay in touch that way.

I also do have a bunch of free and now public domain 3d models you are all welcome too, over 100 I think, all created in sculptris, xenodream, incendia, and acropora pretty much. they are all in my gallery for download as zipped files at http://sum1good.deviantart.com/

Oh and yeah, I am not known as "3dvisuals dude" outside truespace circles, I have been known for years online elsewhere as "Sum1Good," long story, lol, but it works for me! : )

anyhow.... I'll drop back here in a few days and see what came of this thread, hahaha, I assume it will be days before the regulars here all see it! : )

Welcome back bro! I'm relatively new, but I've been having fun here! My second "hobbie" job thing is as a DJ. So during weekends or at night I mix electronica and DNB and Dubstep in my free time. Music is handy at balancing stuff!

But I'm not fully dedicated to being a DJ, but maybe later!

Hello, I guess I'm the "dude" that took over when you left I also believe you're not the first here to stop making 3D and start making music, a former member Leonregis did the same I think.
Still, 3d, 2d, Music... it doesn't, matter all forms of art are good in my eyes. Good luck with your music and if you'd ever pick up 3D again we'll be here

Good to hear that you are well... ! Still working with Moi3d ! But a lot less time then I had before..
As you can see things are going slow here.. and yes Truespace site is gone for good.....well didnt expect it to last any longer...
I´m into immersive 3d spaces now too since I got myself a license of Lumen RT..... some of my clients will be happy
since they can now visualise architectural things in a closed enviroment !

Wow a name from the past. Many late nights shared creating in our Shared Spaces.
Yes everything has slowed down just like real life has too. I actually enjoy our site better because
what is left are loyal compassionate and dedicated Artist regardless of medium.
We don't have to prove anything just enjoy each others contribution. After life's tough challenges it is nice to come here and relax with friends.

Hey Mark

Good to hear from you. It is very interesting when you talk to people that create art in 3D, you soon discover that is only one medium that they are used to creating in. Music, 3D, 2D, animation, stills, painting, photography... mathematics, engineering... they are all just a way to create.

Fun looking sites, I'll give them a surf around later when I slow down for the evening.
