Truespace Error! from downgrading Vista

Post by weedhunter »

i downgraded my windows machine from Vista Home Basic to XP Professinoal.
when i reinstalled the full tS7.6 (::it installed fine no problems::) but when i open the tS7.exe i get this error that says something like "error! rendeer is unavliable". ill show you a srceenshot of the error soon.
it goes to the workspace part but display gray with a meesage that say something like "no render" when i goto the model side. every thing is almost fine except i cant open .rsobj files. but i can open cob files.

it work with my vista but it isnt working with my xp.

i downgrade cause i want to dual-boot with ubuntu linux. and i need to repartition my HDD so i can have linux, too.

my sound dont work etier on the xp side but the linux side it works fine. i need to upgrade the drivers for sound. maybe that why my tS ant working cuase the integraded GPU and working well with XP. hmmmm.

my soultion might have to be to buy a cheap GPU for my machine. with a install disk.

my windows/linux machine has no internet access to it. so i cant upgrade from internet. i have disk install it or have offline install, like downloaded to a zip drive than installing it to the computer . :bananasad: :bananasad:

the tS7.6 installer is 130MB rite. you know what i think might be wrong too. when i copyed the install to a zip drave i actadenly click canecl so it might of missed some data for the installer. but it install fine. maybe it install fine but doent install everything that is need to run the program correctly.. ...hmmmm...

oh ya... my ts7.6 installer is 120MB. so ya i might of missed some data.

found out it wasnt the tS installer. :bananatyping:
it wass the Boot disk. the BD(boot disk) didnt have the hardware installer on it that i had in my system.
My ATI Radeon Xpress 1100 was a hard timer for looking for the installer. i found out there was no Xpress 1100 for XP. their was 1050 and 2000 but no 1100. so now my VGA thinks it is now a ATI Radeon Xpress 200. dont ask why( :bananasad: cant tell you) that why.
now for the sound i just had to goto realtek and get the HD Audio Codec. and now im alset to us tS.

im back on track to 3d modeling!!!! ;) :) :D  :P
