Seemed like a neat move on a place I used to visit...and what with the User blog thingumy not available like it was on the Califorum I figured I'd make a suggestion...which sort of picks up and runs with Spacekdets "Short term plans" idea

Member boxes, they work like this:
Each member who wants a "box" makes a new thread, and only one thread, example "weevil's box" or "Weevil's space" or something similar where they can use it to post things similar to those you'd find in a blog section or, and I hate using this phrase "about your life"...more trivial things you perhaps want to share or talk about...for example I might use it for articles similar to those I park on Deviant art, or I found a link to a new game I like the look of....just so it would at least maybe also free up some space in other forums?

Good idea, but how people could comment, or there will be no comments?

Sounds like my "Finis' off topic thread" in another forum.

I think that any member who wants to can make a "box" in the off topic section. (Leon, people could just post there to comment.)

A thread like Spacekdet's stimulates participation since many will read it. Member boxes might not be read much but that can be good since readers would be those interested.

Don't disappear for too long.

I think this is more an idea than a suggestion, we just need to spread the idea.

No it was a suggestion...especially as it would logically need it's own board...maybe hidden so just members can see

Moderators and Admins, I think would be good go ahead with this idea...
