SO I made this hand, it's fairly good, nearly got the structure down, made it out of a lot of simple geometric shapes, boleaned them, and welded the random verticies to tidy up the mesh. Was a quick way to get a hand.
The head was a sphere, and I weight pushed the thing into shape. The bee hind is also a similar sphere with Loops added at the point to bring it out without too many facets.
This was all done in only the modelside, or in the rosetta version. I find it more stable, less functions, but certainly more stable. The bridge screws with things sometimes doesn't it?
Took me all just under an hour to do the whole lot.
I will probably export these models as *.x to Softimage. I'll try do a UV map experiment in the process.
I have yet to make boots, wings, eyes, mouth, etc. Textures will be in softimage.
I would love to articulate the hand and do some experiments. People have told me that the bones cannot be trust, but I would love to see how far I can push them.
=) Enjoy!
