Ok; I have not started using Messiah yet but I do have a question.
Once a character is rigged and animated, I'll want to export it.
What is the (basic) process for doing this, and importing into another application
for additional work/integration into a scene?
Thanks!

No idea but this is one of the questions I think we need to answer as well. If I figure it out I will post here.

The best way is the fbx export, which is under the customize tab. It will export your mesh and bones and animation. There is an issue with materials. If you have a uv map on it you are ok, but if you use materials currently and have more than one material on a model you lose those materials

The other way is to export as an fbx and convert that with the Alias
converter to a Collada file and the third one is to export as an MDD..
like to Modo......or Lightwave...
