Spacing spindles in a handrail along a deck
I've tried to use the grid array tool and spline array tools to space spindles in a handrail along a deck. I've had no luck. Could someone tell me how this should be done? Thanks!

When I click my saved path there is 1 spindle at one end of the spline and vertices along the rest of the spline. As well I can't seem to change the number of spindles and the spacing between them. Thanks!

Now the problem I'm having is that when I try to put the path in the scene I end up with a triangle instead of a 90 degree curve. When I click on the path in the polygon library a second time it shows up in the scene but is somehow connected to the triangle. It's never done this before and it said something about it being animated. What is wrong in this case?

Sounds like your path is being turned into a polygon.
Use the 'Add Curve' and Curve library to create the spline that you'll use in the array.
Curves can be 'open' ended.
If you used 'Add Polyline' to draw the array spline, you'll have to open a Curve Library, right click and 'Insert'.
Now delete the polyline, and re-load the newly saved Curve.
It's extra steps that you can avoid by drawing the spline using the 'Add Curve' tool.
The animation referred to means the object has a Path attached to it.
