In other words, I am hoping to start a brainstorming session here on this specific subject among the many Scriptors here.
The idea is simple I think... an innovative method to Disable Edge Select Mode in truePlay.
is it possible to create an alternative default (.rsscn) scene file for truePlay to open / load with a special scripted object or trigger in it which when activated by a click or by FPN avatar proximity, would go up inside the link editor for that particular user and disable the existing edge selection (highlighting) mode one now sees when one opens truePlay and passes their mouse pointer over any 3d object in a scene?
I realize the scene, if this is even possible, would have to be created in trueSpace and then renamed "DefaultP.Rsscn," tested, and then if correctly functioning could be used with an installer to overwrite the existing default scene.
Or, if such an edge selection/highlighting disabling command can simply be added to the existing truePlay xml files such as "onnewscene.xml" perhaps a new scene and object wouldn't even be required.
Your thoughts folks?
(it's just a bummer when things don't work like they are supposed to)
