Rose: Halloween

Post by Steve »

!
PLEASE NOTE THIS WILL BE UPDATED THROUGHOUT THE DAY, NOT A WEEK OR ANY OF THAT, THIS IS A VERY SHORT WIP
Right then, it's Halloween and I can't be bothered to do the obligtary themed picture, so instead I'm going to stop messing about with music and to actually do some proper 3D work

"proper" is the operative word here, we're going to do this "Blue Peter" style, so "Here's something I made earlier"
It's Rose, she's back, and now I'm going to turn her into a Halloween-y type Wolf-girl. Why Rose? I'm terrible at organic modelling, can't do humans to save my life, I also can't be asked to swear and curse for hours on end at my dawing abilities if I draw her in a halloween-y type scenario, so I'll just do this instead

She's had a bit of an update since you last saw her, but I kinda doubt you'll notice the differences, they're just me (with the help of schattendorn) getting really fiddly about positions and sizes and shapes of some of her body parts

------------------------------------------------------------------------
A generic warning to furries/non-furries/easily offended/easily excitable that I always put with this model.

First things first if anthropomorphic wolfy-girls sparks off a fear of irritionability then what a pity, my best friend is inclined in this direction, many artists therefore I speak to are in inclined in this direction, so as such I'm comfortable with it, and a helluva lot easier to break me into organic modelling than jumping onto humans, there's a lot more leeway with this, but I understand others may not be comfortable, but remember it's anthropomorphic only, not the slightly more....exotic ( ) stuff that's typically assosiated with these type of characters.

Yes she's naked, yes, her rear might be on display at any point, but I've never known someone to be able to walk with one buttock

The costume (once I work out what it'll look like) might be a little low cut, or a little provocative, but no, it's not "lewd" art, it's "pandering to target audience somewhat" as the 3D community ISN'T the first choice for this character, so I've very dliberately not modelled/textured "certain" parts, as, like I say, I haven't included the parts that aren't neccesary for this piece.

It seems unneccesary to point all this out, but then it's a better thought out argument than the usual BS about how I'm "not furry but an anthro-artist". If too many people are uncomfortable, I'll happily remove it, and come back when I figure out how to model humans

UPDATE 1:
First two images are as she is now with no new edits, minus parts of the model that aren't going to be needed for this, first point of call, a hat...maybe a witch? Logic would say we should make her a werewolf, but there'd be hardly any modelling involved, and she already has fur, and ragged clothes on a near naked wolf-girl? I'm not THAT silly

Good stuff man.

Anyways, the image is disturbing to me as the combination of the obviously feminine body with the non-human parts takes a moment to comprehend because of the lack of "normalcy"

Just think I'd like to point out again there's nothing sexual in it, it's a different form of "anthropomorphic" to say...Steinie...Like I say, I'm used to it by now, others aren't

Update 2

A hat!

A hat!

Please don't take anything I said as being negative, not at all. I don't see anything sexual either. My comment was strictly based on what one would "expect" to see with a female model. That is what plays tricks on the viewer. It truly is great work and I hope you did not think I was being critical or judgmental.

Lol, it's no worry, It's defence by expecting worst case scenario, on a typical day, reactions are never neutral on these type of characters, "marmite" characters almost, they're either loved, or flamed (one reason why devinat art is more than a little iffy) thanks to either rigid views or a utterly nutty fandom, knowing how potentially explosive this type of model or character might actually be I figured I better cover myself in every aspect sooner rather than later

Update 3....basic "attire"

Great work. What program are you modeling with?

It is strange that anyone would flame this clothed or not. It looks like a cartoon character to me. Sure, if she was doing something naughty a viewer might object to where it was posted but that is not what you are doing. As far as nudity ... the character is covered with fur?
