The official blender release don't have the addons contribs folder you can download it here and copy the addons contrib folder in scripts folder:

http://builder.blender.org/download/ or you can use the buildbot version of Blender that content more themes than the official.

I've been playing with 2.70 and it's nice, much more organize as an interface, me gusta. I don't know much as to how to use Blender, but it seems alright.

I want Flakes.

Draise, all i can say, learn it ,i see so many max and maya users switching over to it .
just look at the films they made with it, big buck bunny , sintel ,and more .
It has all the tools you need .
