How do I get out of it? I'd model a half of something, and use the mirror modeler to make it symmetrical. But I can't seem to turn off the function, and keep the symmetrical model intact. So I have to leave it on, which means the texture map I apply to it HAS to be symmetrical as well, because it only maps the one half of the object, then mirrors it. Is there a way to make my symmetrical object, then totally clear the Mirror Modeler properties, keep the whole model intact, and make a non symmetrical texture map?
Example, a head with a scar on one cheek. If I use the MM tool to make the head symmetrical, I can't have the scar on one cheek.. it's mirrored on the other cheek as well.

Re: the Mirror Modeler
I knew the answer but the doc has this description:
If you need to remove the procedural effects of Mirror Modeler, you use the Flatten History tool. This is necessary if you want to edit one half of the model separately from the other, or if you want to export to Virtual Earth, X format, etc.

The doc always has the right prescription.
