2001 is the default management port , this is used when you login with just the server panel. Its not actually an accessible space as such , its just a port number that allows access to a panel to manage the other real spaces on the server.
If you try to use the server itself to login to the space using the 2 head icon it will not work , you would need to use the truespace 2 head (shared space icon ) and use the space port address eg 1109 (default) for the new space created there , again using this SS login icon in truespace will not allow you to login to the management port 2001 , this is what the server panel is for.

can you show a screengrab of the logged into the server that you mean.

with the firewall , it should be enough on just xp or vista to allow trueserve access when its first launched.
setting up another firewall it should be enough to just allow UDP 1109 , and possibly the management port number for trueserve in the firewall settings. Allowing UDP and tcp as any for trueserve probably wouldnt harm either as it would be application specific.

some routers , eg some thompson ones , have a disable firewall in the software gui, however , it doesnt actually disable the firewall and you need to telnet into the router and issue a CLI command to turn the firewall off properly , I dont know if this is the case with the routers in question.
Some routers also need ping responder enabling , sometimes this is also only available through CLI , but maybe some routers have a switch in the GUI .
As far as I recall here with this latest server version I didnt need to add it as an application or game in my router settings, but I do know in the past on other machines I did need to do this.

Yes you can run trueserve and login to it from the same machine using truespace.
One thing to test about firewall is you might be able to try this , make a new space and change its port to 443, then post the ip and port and see if someone can access it, 443 is used by other apps and in theory it should already be open and may allow for us to bypass the firewall

It is helping, the only problem is that my router's panel is different and I don't know how to control it...
