Does anyone know if the Caligari SCN format has...

Post by BNG »

changed drastically from TS version 3.2 to the version used by th modelside of 7.61. When I try to convert SCN files to another format 3D Exploration yields an error message that indicates this version is unsupported and says something about a ReadsView is not supported. I wonder if importing the SCN file in toTS 3.2 and saving it again might solve the issue by using an earlier version of the format? cod use some feedback on what to try next. Thanks, Leroy.

yes it has changed a few times...... general better idea is to save in obj. formats if possible..(obj exporter) that normally can be read by most programs..
but then there are the UV maps that make it hard....

I can also use the Direct-X format which has served me well for years now. l like the Caligari formats, but it seems like there's limited support for it anymore. 3DEX version 1.X seems well suited to the COB format down to Ispace COB format. Thanks, Leroy.
