The scene don't look complex to kill a computer as your. It is a problem of optimization of the scene. size of texture, number of ligth, number of faces, etc...
Also add a big plane for the background can decrease the time to render of the ray tracing method if this plane is too far the camera.

A look at how the layout is comming allong..

And a little closer to show some
of the detail I've started...

bitkar told me to make each project
harder than the last..
I believe I am holding to that..

But its all about sharpening up those skills..

Thanks Marcel.. I value your advice..
I will remember what you said when I rebuild
the City in its final form...

Cheers!!!

You said my scene did'nt look complex
enough to bog my computer down...
Well I want you to know my scene feels and
acts mutch smaller now... :D

Still a long long way to go on this project..
But the going just got a lot easyer... :)

looking good... Iam curious where and how you will position the camera. I think the camera placement will be essential. You should use some ground fog efect or so, at last. Something to enhance the atmosphere. Keep it up!

I think you should add a low intensity infinite light facing upward, to brighten up the underside of that ship. It looks unnaturally dark.

"Too Big"?

If you're running in solid display mode have you turned down the texture resolution to see if that improves navigation?
