Having a new arty girlfriend, hanging out in her studio and watching her draw stuff in charcoal, I am left with a digital tablet and her mac. I love having and art lady as mine. But.. I miss my digital world, so I am starting to take up some speed painting tutorials again, this time with an actual tablet, not so much on just my phone.

This one was based on a tutorial I did on speed painting a rock. I did it in GIMP 2.8, but I don't know how to use brushes that well, still gotta figure it out, not as good as the actual tutorial, and the tutorial was a little too fast to study, but I got some ideas.

Here is another version of it, different. But I like it.

Are we talking about the rock on the left....that is the only difference I see. The large one looks to me to be a copy of the first one. Are you pulling our leg to see if we are paying attention?

Hehe, yes, just trying to catch you out!!! Yet no. I changed the colour and clouds and put a small mountain in the distance. =)
