Let's say I am in control of what another person gets on their computer for truespace or trueplay and how he or she sees things.

Could I save a layout in either or both truespace or trueplay that is only showing toolbars, menus and windows I allow....and even removing or editing the object widget so it only highlights the object as a bounding box and no scaling or moving can happen. I also disable the saving features as well.

I then save this layout and apply it to this other person's computer before he or she sees all the other commands and options. I then do not let them know that there are other options or controls or layouts.

Could I fool them into thinking they are in a none saveable viewer and only the commands I allow them to access are the commands that truespace has. This of course assumes they don't go on the Caligari website.

So basically I'm trying to fake a viewer by restricting things using layouts.

If you're using the old model side, and you want to save a layout with only the things you want in it, the closest I could think of would be to:

1. Click on the far left end of the tool bars (grey colored with little horizontal lines) that you don't want to show, and they can be "minimized", but they can be accessed again by clicking on the minimized small square from the toolbars that you minimized.

2. Click on the hammer and wrench icon (it's the configuration library), right click in the configuration library, and then click on the insert button from there. Your viewport will be saved (but i'm not sure if it supports saving your objects or scenes in the layout configuration library). The model side has a button for a scene library and an object library, so if you hover the mouse cursor over the icon, it should tell you what it's tool is called or what library it is.

If you're using the new workspace side, I would do the following steps to do what you wanted to do:

1. In the library tab on the right, right click on an empty space in "Scenes-Base".

2. Select "Insert as...", then select "Layout (.rsl)". I'm not sure how you could minimize toolbars on the workspace though, sorry.

Just make sure your view is rotated and moved and zoomed to the way you want it to look before adding it to the configuration library on the model side and before saving the layout file on the WorkSpace too.
