New work.

Post by rjeff »

Been along time for me, but getting back into this 3D thing. I am going to focus my art on smaller set pieces for now, just to get back into it. Monsters U inspired this piece, as the college had some awesome fence around the school. Feel free to comment, yeah or na. I still have more detail in the column, this is just to give you an idea.

I also built me a new rig. My old one was well old. I must say TS loves 8 cores.

Looking good so far! :bananacool2:

I assume you might add hinges and a latch?...

NO, this is just going to be a small section of the fence. This section is one that has no entrance.

Me gusta.

Are you baking AO into this? I THINK I see ambient occlusion, but I am not sure.

Nope. That is just an HDRI. I have a 100 sample rate on it.

I agree that the textures so far are fantastic.
You might want to consider aging the iron gate with a little rust to match the aged columns.

Yeah I did that in another render, but it did not come out quite right. I need to add some more rust to it.
