Re: Towel on a hook (Blender)
Surprised this is a quick render. Just to try cloth simulation? It is really artistic. Placement of the objects, use of empty space, simple vs. complex, color vs. white, geometic shapes vs. flowing shapes, and lighting are all just right to give it a feel, a mood. Not a specific one but inspiring the viewer to find the mood he sees in it.
If you are on Deviant Art, or similar, put this there without explanation. You'll get some great comments about how good it is.

Yeah, but can it do a hook on a towel?
That's what I'd like to see.

Thanks so much everyone!
@Finis- I this sounds stupid but,Without explanation? what exactly do you mean?
As for those of you who really want to learn blender, you should give it a go. the new interface is surprisingly easy to learn (compared with what it used to be like).

I meant post the picture to your Deviant Art gallery, or similar place if you have one, with no description or information about it. Just the picture. Then viewers can see and imagine what they want. I'll bet that viewers will say how artistic it is.darkmage wrote:@Finis- I this sounds stupid but,Without explanation? what exactly do you mean?
I'm seeing a vicious image of a towel covered with fish hooks.jamesmc wrote:Yeah, but can it do a hook on a towel?

Nice work!
On a side note, I am impressed with the level of organization of the blender development community. Look at how many people it takes to develop/document/contribute this technology, for free, and continue to deliver.

Nice work darkmage. Really like the idea.
Also, like Finis mentioned; it lends itself to wide interpretation all on its own.
(for the 'Blender mentioners'... told ya so
. Its the way to go)

@Dragneye- thanks for the feedback; as for Blender, it is definitely the way to go. No other free program even comes close.
