MMC july 2011 - sea fortress

baddie has to be well hidden, sea is the best place imho ;)

just a picture after some hour of work or so:

there is a view on submarine port. The submarine will sit on the rail and be pulled in. Some torpedos will be needed aswell for the case.

second preview, some texturing, lighting done. Mainly symbiont materials.
nothing special.. i try to figure out how to make it look huge. Some cheap solution. Maybe i will model some submarine, dont know if that helps.

WOW! Looking good, man. A school of fish swimming past or some caustic lighting might help you portray the scale. Keep up the good work.

Yes I think very small objects like a school of fish or scuba divers in the rendering will give the viewer
a sense of scale. Real nice so far.

I was thinking disgarded plastic bags and those plastic six pack thingies that float in the ocean. :bananadevil:

maybe a final look? some dolphins will guard the fortress :) put there some rusty barels too.

+caustics (just a "shadow map") and postprocess (photoshop) volumetrics.
