That looks really cool Rayman!
Hm I wonder how much it will cost to have the stuff we model, 'made'.
I should read more deeply into that web page.

Maybe I should go to work for Autodesk. :)

There is a video of the interview here......
its all I found about it..
http://www.businesswire.com/multimedia/ ... tion-Wired"
they are talking about students and hobbyists so the price cant be to high I guess..
You need a spare part for a long ago out of production washing machine ... you make your own spare part from a plastic
from a model that you make.... it also works with 3d photography......
model railways or buildings for model railways no problem either...

iam downloading too at 650kbps :) iam curious,... i will post some feedback soon I hope.

meantime watch their yt channel with tutorials... so far its seems more like a CAM software, for constructing, not making art.

ok, the app is very nice. Workflow looks very reasonable. But its just construction software. Need to say, that if i wanted to construct something i would like to use this. Speed of it is not the best. So far there is a lack of any renderer. It has only some built in DirectX (9 i think). So you can render images in solid, hiddenline, wireframe... just how it looks like inside the app. Overall its a good app, but not for the artists.

about the compatibility. It can read obj but I wasnt able to load up some. Always got error. I was able to export .stl to tS, it worked well (but i dont see any point in doing so). Exporting from tS to 123D is a problem though. Maybe with conversion pak .sat can be done, but i dont have it installed here at work. It cannot read stl. Its just an app for construction industry for a very good price ;)

Looks like its a free nurbs package ! ;)
I followed the youtube videos and its pretty much doing basics of construction
and should be very interesting for people who use Ts !
In nurbs you cant import obj because its a polygonal file format...
iges and 3dm are nurbs formats but you should be able to export as obj and import into next to any poly software and render engine
It also has a construction history..
I got to give this a little more use to come up with something in the future
but it should solve the boolean problems that some of you have ( you hear that com panda  )

Update !
Had a close look and it works well together with Truespace 7 !
You have to import with the stl file !
For Sketchup you have to import with the DWG file but it says on the homepage that Skp file should be supported
maybe they are working on othert files too !
Greatest pleasure that it works seamlessly with Moi 3d !
Its basically a trimmed down version of Inventor... !
You can now use nurbs booleans for Truespace pretty easily.. through the stl file (stereolithography).....
here are a few screenshots with and without booleans....
