How can I control the Pitch, Roll and Yaw of a spacecraft
I am trying to rotate my Gemini Spacecraft. I have tried using the Object Coordination System and it does not seem to work. The spacecraft rotates in the world coordinate system. The question is how do I rotate one axis without changing the other axis.

You can select which axes are effected by rotate, move, and scale by using the X, Y, Z icons to enable or disable them.
Object coordinates selected but still acts like world? Don't know. Workspace or Model side?
On model side TS forgets that you selected object coords. when you close it. Is the object's axis where you think it is? If it is outside and far from the object then it could seem to be world coords. when it is object coords.

If your object need to rotate on only one axis, be sure this axis is z. You can rotate the z axis on a persperctive view without changing the others axis. Just right click (instead of left click) when you move the mouse to rotate the object.

Re: How can I control the Pitch, Roll and Yaw of a spacecraft
I am using Workspace and using the object coordinate system. I click on the spacecraft object and click on object coordinate system.
I am trying to use Roll on the X axis, Pitch is the Y axis and Yaw is the z axis. The Pitch can move +- 90 degrees and Roll and Yaw can move +- 180 degrees. If I start with the rotations set to zero. I first modify the Roll, I can modify the Pitch or Yaw and it works. But if I change the Yaw first, and change the Roll, the Roll does not rotate around the spacecraft x axis but the x axis of the Workspace.
Can someone explain the world coordinate system, object coordinate system and tangent coordinate system.
I found a tutorial to explain Vector Math for 3D Computer Graphics.

I was trying to demonstrate What I am trying to do. I tried to upload my spacecraft object but RsObj this forum cannot upload RsObj files. How can I upload my object so others can tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks Steinie.
I am using Workspace.
To test it set Roll to 45 degrees. Set Yaw to 30 degrees. Now I want to change the Roll and have the object center axis.
I have tried it in World Coordinate System, Object Coordinate System.
Is this possible with truespace.

Re: How can I control the Pitch, Roll and Yaw of a spacecraft
This problem is harder than I thought.
I going back to the basics and trying to understand simple rotation and how Roll, Pitch and Yaw interact.
For my project, I will just use the Yaw control and then add the Roll control later.
