Strange Object

What terrain or surroundings do you think would be best for this?

The gestalt is, straight vertical lines/edges/walls (that do actually converge, maybe off camera). Should play off well in the glass (like the edge refractions seem to converge 'into' the base thru the glass downwards)
The background is sucked into the glass, rays shooting into the base thru the glass.

Can ya SEE it Jim!? Can ya?
lol :)

Great ideas so far! Thanks. Keep going. With these ideas I might do more than one picture.

There is a theme/mood I have in mind but I'm not sure what surroundings are best for that. I'm not saying what it is right now because you will have ideas beyond just that theme.

I saw this object in a dream a long time ago and modeled it for the Dali or surrealism challenge.
