Posted this 'elsewhere' but thought I'd share it here as well, since this forum seems to have a little more traffic.

Hi Spacekdet,
80 summers.....is that all we get??
Nice pix, that looks like a beautiful place to relax! That lake is so big it looks like the ocean out there!

A grab-bag of a gallery, haven't done much shooting since I came back from up north.
The summer that barely was is now officially over.

It's progressing quickly.
Includes a couple free skymaps (hit 'zoom' for 1024X768 version)
edit: whoops, excuse the watermark on the zoom version, feel free to clone it out.

Re: Mix Pix From The Stix
Some night time shots this time.
Out on the dock, about 2 am, windy as hell, moon playing peekaboo as the clouds race by.
Followed by experiments in post-processing... for some reason things looked good on the camera LCD preview but once inside PS...eh, not so much.
Some pushed, some pulled, and a couple that come pretty close to what it actually looked like.
Feel free to snag anything that you might use for an IBL or sky map.
(hit zoom for largest size.)

Re: Mix Pix From The Stix
Been busy here getting the ranch ready for a long Michigan winter.
One of the chores is bringing in the boats, dock and swimming raft.
We let the season run a little longer than usual hoping for a length of warrn fall weather... it never happened.
Yesterday it flirted with 60 F (15.5 C) so we figured that was as good as it was going to get.
Here's a fun character I found happily swimming in the rainwater that collected in the sailboat. More info at Google.
There's nothing to show scale, but trust me when I say he was at least finger-length.
PS: the water was cold. There was shrinkage.
The only thing big in that lake was the bug and some fish.
