Have you heard about this pretty cool 3D mapping technology? Way better than 3D scan you know. It maps reflections, lights, materials.

It is interesting and gives pretty good results. Not a replacement for scanning yet. The last time I checked it didn't have the precision of scanning or photogrammetry.
