An aquarium and its contents.

Bright pink gel or slime in a setting, location, situation that makes it even weirder.

Everything in a specific location like on a table, on a desk, on a shelf, in a drawer, in the refrigerator.

Scientific instruments or equipment. Devices, glassware, etc.

Things associated with a profession.

At least X variations of Y. For instance, at least 5 TV remote controls or at least 8 hats.

A classic game with a twist. Do something creative with chess, baseball, checkers.

Things that go bump in the daylight.

Arcs and sparks.

Severe Damage. Model something with realistic looking damage, wrecked car, broken furniture, shorted out electric plug...

Jack in the box. (Not the fast-food restaurant.)

Super Deformed. Y'know, like chibi or similar styles in animation and manga.

Anime character. Humans, aliens, animals, mecha or other robot.

Anime non-character. Anything from an anime TV series, movie or OVA that's not a mecha or human or animal or other humanoid shaped or alien or robot.

Sentient street. Ever heard of the comic book character "Danny the Street"? It's a play on Danny LaRue. If you want to know more, google. The guy who created the character wanted to do a story where Danny joined the Green Lantern Corps, he'd have been "Street Lantern". (That one didn't get green-lit...)

Fail. Do your best to illustrate the the sheer concept of FAIL. See http://failblog.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Win. See above. WIN is rare but frikin' awesome when it happens.

Fantastic Camera. Cameras. They take light and make reasonable exact images of what that light has bounced off of. Boring! Model a camera that does things in a different way.

Sorry if this has already been said, but it seems to me that most people strive for realism. When alwasy striving for the most realistic it can limit the things you attempt to do, and people might miss out on an affect/option that can weild amazing results.

How about an Abstract Topic.

Yeah Karthogen we always bring to reality because is something normal to us, but abstract is something interesting to do.
More ideas:

Forgetting things: You already lost something that you look for and don't find and after hours of search you find? Try to make a funny image about that...

Abstract paint: Show to us the potential of 3D in abstract arts :)

Loneliness: Something sad and bleak, we can make good arts with this base... ;)

The lonliness idea made me think about lights and how lighting on a scene can set the mood.

So how about a challange with Lighting/rendering. Take 1 scene and make 3 seperate renders that express 3 different moods.

Sad
Happy
content

You can have 1 scene eveyone uses or the scene can be user made with 3 seperate renders.
