Don't forget to engineer in enough power for it to carry a camera.

Here's a guy with a setup like this flying over one of my local schools.

This one shows how he's got it setup.(and a lot of crashing!

Well I've got that little helicopter which has a camera in it. Perfect for filming steadily, works great indoors. It's to small to fly outdoors though on a windy day, or even in a mild breeze.

As for my aircraft, yes, I did have in mind adding a small camera to it similar to the camera in my helicopter. Maybe one with a little higher resolution.
I think I will position it in the cockpit under the canopy where it cannot get harmed by a crash, not that I'm intending to crash it. :P

I still have to decide on a size for my V-700. I think I'll make the first one small, small enough to be light enough to be powered by a small electro engine. Maybe only 2 channel, 3 if I can manage it. The second prototype will be heavier, will have more powerful engines and will therefore also (most likely) be bigger. With the wingspan of my arm I think (that's about 80 cm). Since the design of the aircraft is rather squarish, I estimate that will also be the length.

Oh, and here is a little video of me flying my camera-helicopter.

Sorry about the short video by the way (and the mess in my apartment)

V-700b Fighter Aircraft - VTOL

Post by MikomDude »

Once again I've gone back to work on my V700 design. This time I made a concept for a VTOL version of the aircraft.

Instead of the front wings it has two jet turbines for giving it lift. The rear jet thrusters will now have the ability to "fold down" similar to the F-35.

Maybe try using high density foam would yield a better looking result. I remember this model from a while back though.

Oh my real-life model version is only hold as I ran out of funds for the project months ago. I would be a great thing to pick up again some day though. When I have the time and money that is...
