hi, is there some way to use the Luxrender? has anyone tryied to use it, test it? is someone able to write an export plugin or a way to integrate it to tS as vray? that would be really great!

Exporters are certainly possible. We will have to add Lux to the list for the devs... :D

AND IT IS FREE! With the open source, sure a lot of programmer will love it. Maybe an exporter for TS would be a good thing to prolong the life of TS. A new to follow.
Don't forget to see the gallery on their site. There are a lot of awesome images.

Totally amazing, that's a great render and has pretty good features, I hope we see some kind of exporter soon!

Couldn't Dribble be used like it works with 3Delight?

You guys are right, this looks like a very good rendering engine!

yeah there are some really nice renders there. The good thing is,
the blender exporter script can be analyzed, and used as a reference
for building a truespace exporter (Modelside, Or Workspace).

@steini - no, dribble exports in a Renderman complient language - luxrender has it's own format

@froo - or both ;)

I would like to see this as a workspace render, as I don't have v-ray and this would be my free v-ray.

This is a very good render engine but be prepaired to have very long render times as this is an unbiased renderer same as
Maxwell etc.
And its not mainly running on the gpu but on the cpu...
So it wont replace the speed of a biased render engine like ie. Vray.
Nevertheless I´d also like to see an exporter !
