camera shake effect

Post by solar fleet »

Greetings:
Does anyone know of either a good tutorial or even an alternate plugin or program that will simulate a camera shake? Have been trying to do this effect with the shakeadelic pro (animators toolbox) tsx in both TS 5.51sse and the latest 7.61 modelside. The closest I can achieve is a “beach ball in a tornado” effect. Have tried all settings up and down the scale.
Have gotten close by hand moving a camera thru a series of back and forth movements, but that is a nightmare to attempt.
Grateful for any feedback, thanks.

I made a tS7.61 Vibrator for Workspace here:

Dose not transfer very well in Model.
Maybe Clinton can chime in here on how to do that with his D3D Render

Many video editing or compositing programs have a camera shake effect. HitFilm and Davinci Resolve and others have free versions.

there was even some small plugin, that could shake things... it was for legacy tS versions... damn, just to remember the name... Maybe it was in coolpowers? not sure.

appreciate everyones feedback. unfortunately, shakeadelic was what I was attempting to use with little success except for the random jumping around. probably best to see if this can be be done in video editing or may take a dive at blender instead.
thanks again.

use shakadelic to "random jump around" the camera for like 50 frame, then take the timeline editor and stretch the animation to 500 frames and you will have more subtle motion.
