U3DA CHALLENGE - March 2016 In a Box_Comments

Post by Dragneye »

Here... we chat.

I'll start by saying that the reason I picked 'a box' is to help the artist. If you keep it in a box, then one need only create part of a model, the part we can see. Hopefully that will entice more to join the fun.

Hmm.. This could be fun. I'm back at my computers with a very large screen, SO MANY PIXELS!
So.. I can do things now. =)

:)
I remember starting with MS PAint. I dreaded creating a pic more than 500 pixels wide since to coax any detail I was coloring pixel by pixel. Times have changed.

PS: welcome back... tourist.

I don't know if this is ok, but I'm reusing some items I created a few years ago. Had to start over as I lost my file I was working
on a few days ago. Oh well.

Trying to render in YafARay.

I decided to make a slightly different model, so a progress update.
All done in TS workspace side. Rendered in yafaRay.

Worked on making body of airplane more realistic in 3d by changing shape from a flat form to a more rounded and modeled shape.

Cool work!
No problem; if ya finished it new it's fine by me.
I loved making these types of models when I was a kid. I remember doing WW2 planes and ships mostly and grunts in dioramas.
Tanks for the memories FH!

Thanks, I learned some new things that applying textures in workspace side works pretty good. I think I need to increase height of rudder as
it looks too low. May also add the horiz. stabilizer part.

May experiment with some more aircraft models if I can find some high resolution images of the sides and top views by modeling directly
over the images 8-)

So FH is gonna win by default?

...

Anything in, or coming out of a box.
I can't participate but my idea was originally something like 'the Blob' from old Horror Movie.
Like I said... anything
:)

How about the new voices here giving it a try also?

PS: Please post any finals in the original thread TY
