In Betaforum there was started an animation project to show what truespace can do and how Realtimerendering looks. After completing the story board and first renderings the Betaforum was unfortunately closed. Tiles moved the whole project to his site and the involved Betamemebers finished the project, a bit shorter though as originally planned.

It will surely appear also on othher locations like youtoube or similar websites.

LOL... if it was supposed to be easy it would not be called "work".
Re: What holds the earth - a truuespace Realtime anima
I'm trying to rerender the movie with Vray.
- first problem is that some of the material/textures have to be redesigned to be visible in Vray render. In this scenery only the glass of the window had to be changed.
- second problem is the lightning which has to be completely redesinged.
- third problem is the time, this 180 frame movie for example needed more than 8 hours on an Intel 6600 Dual Core (2.4GHz) machine. Doing the same in realtime is less than a minute
Will see how far I get
] I couldn't upload the .wmv animationfile so had to ZIP it

Re: What holds the earth - a truuespace Realtime anima
ahhh but the planet animation was easy to do
. A keyframed procedural animation which one knew fully how it would come out when rendered to frames with real time playback. The cloud fly through was also interesting and hopefully can be improved upon. Getting around the alpha bug wasn't as hard as I thought, basically one has to have separate objects (many) to simulate clouds.
