Re: Stomper.
Every now and again I do. Now since I put installed Win 7 x64 and added a 2 gig of ram for a total of 4, I have had less. I did have alot of issues when I ran TS on WIN 7 x32 with 2 gig of ram.
When I start a heavy render I have to reboot the system. If I don't TS will try to render and then it will give me an error and I have to restart. Or it will start to render and then stop.

Re: Stomper.
i can create complex scene (as the hd animation i did) with only 2 giga ram. only some bugs that i know since a long time (6.6) and i know what to do to avoid these bug. OK i work on XP, the best OS for TS but i think you need to work on 7.6 instead 7.61, even on win 7 if you use the model side. 7.61 model side have more bugs compared to 7.6 model side (most with setting, the changes have affected the model side). 7.61 is an update for only the workspace and i think this update is very bad for the model side. Also remember "bridge off".
Just for info: a scene on model side with bridge off can be 10 time lighter than the same with bridge on! I have experienced (problem of duplication of the scene, history, and more). Also with 4 gigas on win7/7.61 you can do less than XP/7.6 and 2 gigas. and maybe less than win7/7.6 with 3 gigas.

hmmm, well I'm still on Win XP Pro SP3 but a with nice dual core 2.7GHz and 4GB ram and a 1GB Radeon 4600... mine just crash when I do booleans and complex navigation/manipulation... so i'm not sure what causes it...

Re: Stomper.
Well alot of times Thenus, I find that if I try to do alot of things quickly it locks up. If I give TS a little love and not click the buttons fast it does not freeze up to bad.

Re: Stomper.
too many reasons for that. OS, software, hardware (driver). i think we have all different problem. The only think i am sure is 7.6 is better than 7.61 for the model side. example: 7.61 don't save the setting of the hdri with the scene. I have no experience with win7 but i am sure to keep another computer with XP until i don't use TS. Because I know where are my bugs and avoid it. now it is natural for me. The problem is we have not necessary the same bug and it is difficult to help.theuns wrote:hmmm, well I'm still on Win XP Pro SP3 but a with nice dual core 2.7GHz and 4GB ram and a 1GB Radeon 4600... mine just crash when I do booleans and complex navigation/manipulation... so i'm not sure what causes it...

Re: Stomper.
Do a test with Multythreading disabled.
I had problems with my older NvideaGforce videocard, but when I disabled multythreading crashes where much less.

Re: Stomper.
Marcel, I don't have any issues with the HDRI staying with the scene. One thing I have had to do is reset the secen becuase sometimes it renders black.
Re: Stomper.
Funny, after I mention I had no issues, I turn off the bridge, like Marcel mentioned and now it will not render. I get the "thinking" icon then nada.

Re: Stomper.
turn off the bridge if you have a scene loaded is not a good solution.
first close the scene, then turn bridge off, close and open TS (be sure TS start on model side view and bridge off). open a .scn scene on model side and never go to the workspace. save the scene to clean all workspace data inside. now your model side is clean. not before.
