Question about t6.6 physics & animation?

Post by BNG »

When I group animations together the key frame data is lost in the process.

When I group objects and do physics animations the whole group rotates rather then the actual objects in the group that had physics applied to them, i.e., propeller objects to say an aircraft fuselage in the group. Am I missing something? Thanks, Leroy.

You should avoid groups in animation.
Do you make use of the "clips" ? Good use of clips is the best way to achieve complex animations in tS.

I'll give creating a new clip for each animation a try thanks. I also figured out that physics animations require that they not touch other objects as this pops up a message about intersection of objects affecting the simulation. My propellers had to be moved away a bit and this stopped the message itself. However, I was able to do both propeller spin sims and group them to the fuselage with animations intact. Wish I had more knowledge about how physics work in Truespace. Leroy.
