If you want to use the Unofficial Update Version 8, use the correct version from the link above
trueSpace7.61 Beta 8 Standalone
Use the instructions included in the Unofficial Update for the trueSpace version you want to apply the update to
Edit: tS7.61B8StdUU8Vray.1.exe has been discontinued
Vray for trueSpace7.61 Beta 8 Standalone Unofficial Update version 8 has been DISCONTINUED
"1.) Run the tS7.61B8StdUU8Vray.1.exe"
Optionally, but recommend you install the iOptDetector plugin http://rs.siprogs.sk/p/iOptDetectorsPage
Recommend that you install it to your C:/ drive so that it can be shared with different versions of trueSpace
The OptDetector.dll must be Installed and Loaded from the Workspace's Package Manager
Steps for the easiest installation:
2.) Install trueSpace 7.61 Standalone
2.) Install YafaRay v3.3.0
3.) Install iOptDetector (Optional)
4.) Extract the tS7.61B8Std.8.exe
5.) Open trueSpace and select the Default tab and Reset the Default Context
6.) Install/Load iOptDetector.dll from the Package Manager and Exit trueSpace
Update instructions:
It is recommend that you completely Uninstall and Install trueSpace7.61 Standalone to a clean directory
1.) Run the tS7.61B8Std.8.exe
2.) Browse [...] to where you installed C:\trueSpace761Std, select its folder and then the Extract button
3.) Select the Yes to All button
4.) Open trueSpace and select the Reset to Default Context icon
5.) In Workspace select the Default layout tab
6.) In Workspace, Install/Load iOptDetector.dll from the Package Manager and Exit trueSpace
The included Plugins.xml file has the Clintons3dPlugin, Clintons3dPluginExt and Clintons3dRsView, Installed and Loaded to the default path: C:\trueSpace761Std
WARNING: These 3 plugins are required to be Installed and Loaded when using trueSpace!
CAUTION: This will overwrite any installed plugins, so you will have to reinstall them using the Package Manager!
CAUTION: If the reset.js file is deleted or modified you will have to extract the tS7.61B8Std.8.exe again!
Ahh excellent, thank you heaps!
my mistake was using tS7.61B8.8.exe instead of tS7.61B8Std.8.exe
Worked first time
thanks
Re: Final trueSpace 7.61 Beta 8 Unofficial Update
Great, glad to hear you got it working!
If you want to use Vray for trueSpace7.61 Beta 8 Standalone, just ask
Note: Vray was not designed to work with the Stanadalone version but there is an Unofficial Update version 9 that makes it possible

@Clinton
I made a replacement Color Picker for the Objects - Script objects library.
It uses your utility functions so there is no undo.
It also uses your Bitmap script from the Light(s) color picker that creates the Luminosity, Saturation, Kelvin, and 1dColorData bitmaps.
The othe scripts were not used and the Clickable Bitmap Controls do not use "On Drag" .

Re: Final trueSpace 7.61 Beta 8 Unofficial Update
I agree undos are important. The color picker above is a separate object in a library, so it's not "a part" of the main program.
Plenty of places in the UU does use the utility functions. It's mostly used to prevent bad undos and to reduce unnecessary undos. We have access to change things via scripting, so it's all done from the outside, no source code access. This can make for some unwanted side effects. Like you run a tool and it takes 7 steps to fully setup. If you undo half way through those steps trueSpace could be left in an unstable state. The utility functions make it so when you undo, those 7 steps are ignored and bypassed. So you still have all your undos from before and after running those 7 steps.
I tried to document all tools that have undo issues in the manual. Some tools will eat up undos like crazy. Most of those have been reduced by using the utility functions. Then there are the tools that will completely erase all undos. I put warning symbols on those sections of the manual.
