Very nice, the best part is it looks like it can actually function once the steam pipes are hooked up.
The detail on the pistons is exquisite.
Did you use reference photos or model by eye mostly?

If you see a zukazamme it's probably me.
The thing about finding the truth is you first have to find who's hiding it.
Flow looks good, and it is important.
Logic, mathematics, and science let you see through the grime.

Thanks Robert, that's good to hear. I don't tend to use much in the way of reference photos.
I'm lucky to have an extremely good visual memory, so I only use photos when that lets me down.
(now names that's a whole other matter )
Well here's today's update. Starting to get somewhere now I think.
enjoy

Re: The Tortoise and the H' Air
Sorry but it looks like half of a 1967 Mopar Gas filter...
I had a flashback to my Barracuda Days.

After textures are applied I'm sure it will look like something else.
Is this going to be a boiler?

LOL yes it does doesn't it. My friend said it make him think of a toilet brush in its holder.
But yes it is a boiler. Hopefully, when finished, it will look something like this:-

More to come over the weekend hopefully.

This is really looking great Madmouse!
The boiler looks a bit plain but I like the proportions. Maybe adding rivets or bolts to the ribbing around the cylinder would help?

WOW that's one freaky looking turtle Marcel. What type is it?
Thanks Jack. It is a little plain at the moment but there is plenty more detail to come yet.
